Zdeno Cycle’s story began in 1969, founded by Zdeno Syrovy, a passionate motorcycle racer who immigrated to Canada from Czechoslovakia with little more than a dream. A champion on the track, Zdeno claimed the 250 cc expert national motocross title in the same year he arrived, showcasing not just his skill but his determination to succeed. Drawing from his racing expertise, he turned his attention to supporting fellow riders, establishing a small shop that would grow into an iconic name in the motorcycle community.
Over the decades, Zdeno Cycle became synonymous with quality, reliability, and a deep understanding of motorcycles. Originally focused on providing hard-to-find parts, the business quickly expanded, moving to Kitchener in 1983 to accommodate its growing reputation as a trusted destination for riders. When Zdeno passed the torch to his sister Jerry Repas and her husband Al, the shop flourished further, evolving into a full-service operation that not only supported racers but catered to the needs of every rider—from weekend enthusiasts to seasoned adventurers.
Today, under the leadership of Linda Repas-Reinhart, Zdeno Cycle continues its legacy with the same passion that started it all. Offering Canada’s largest selection of new and used motorcycle parts, expert maintenance services, and a personal touch that has defined the brand for decades, Zdeno remains a cornerstone of the motorcycle community.
